Fall Trend Alert: Suede Button Up Mini Skirts

For those of you who have been following my Instagram (or have secretly installed a GPS tracker on my phone unbeknownst to me....hey, stranger things have happened, and I wouldn't even be mad), it is no surprise to hear that I have been a little off the blogging radar for the past week as I've been back home in San Francisco, CA celebrating the giving of thanks and such. So, sorry for the lack of content this past week.

Fear no more though, because I'm baaaaack. And, while it may be dreary and rainy and overall just gross weather in general here in NYC, I am still adamantly sticking to my guns and insisting that it is in fact still fall. Not winter. Thus, I give you...this fantastic outfit and my not-so-humble opinion on  it.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm really digging this whole front-button skirt trend right now. Why? Oh, let us count the ways:

1. High-waisted anything. I am a complete sucked for high waisted skirts, jeans, shorts, you name it. And this skirt trend totally hits the mark.

2. Casual, but versatile. Depending on what color or fabric you choose to rock, a front-button up skirt like this one is perfect for a casual look if paired with a simple top like this mesh blouse, or can easily be a little more dressy if you decide to style it with some cute heels and a lacey or frilly number up top. There's a TON of gorgeous skirts like this in velvet out right now too, and those are perfect for a holiday party.

3. Seasonal/weather versatility. This look photographed here is great for mild fall temperatures, but once it starts getting a little chillier, you better bet I'll be rocking this suede number on repeat with some killer OTK boots and a thicker sweater up top. Add some funky tights like these babies and you're NYC winter ready.

Scroll to the bottom to get shoppable links to not only this specific product (I'm a BIG fan of the camel suede color and the scalloped detailing on the bottom), but a few other colors and options to stock up on. You're welcome.
